High-spec Google Pixel 8 reportedly in development

Google is ready to release the Google Pixel 7 Pro and Google Pixel 7 later this year. The existence of the phone and its first form became known at Google IO 2022 earlier this month. Ahead of the launch, Google’s Pixel 7 series display specs were leaked, revealing that the Pixel 7 duo won’t have any major upgrades from the last generation.

The Pixel 7 Pro will have a triple camera, while the Pixel 7 will have a dual camera. A new report has revealed that Google may be working on a new phone that could be the flagship device in the Pixel lineup. Let’s take a look at more information about this mysterious Pixel device.

The Mysterious Pixel device is tagged “G10”. For reference, the Pixel 7 is codenamed “Cheetah”and the 7 Pro is codenamed “Panther”and they’re labeled “C10″and “P10 respectively.”The code name “G10″is still unknown. However, the device’s display specifications have been revealed.

The G10 will have a 120Hz screen refresh rate similar to the Pixel 6 Pro as well as the upcoming Pixel 7 Pro. The display is made by BOE, not Samsung, and has identical specs to the Pixel 6 Pro, including 1440×3120 resolution, 120Hz refresh rate, and 71 x 155mm size. Considering the screen size and resolution of the device, the possibility that this is a large foldable tablet or a Pixel Tablet can be ruled out. Finally, the device will run on Android, which is no surprise. The device can also have a Tensor chip.

Google usually releases three devices in the series: the regular, the Pro model, and the A series. This year, it looks like the company is adding a new device. If we were to speculate that it could be another high-end version of the Pixel 7 Pro, or it could be Google already preparing a Pixel 8 series device. However, the name of the device is not yet clear.
