Google unveiled the Pixel 6a last month at Google I/O 2022. The new Pixel smartphone is a stripped-down version of the vanilla Pixel 6. It uses the same Tensor chip as more premium models. It will go on sale in select markets such as the US starting July 28th. Ahead of the official launch, a Google Pixel 6a unboxing video has already surfaced.
A TikTok video showed the contents of the box and packaging of the affordable Pixel. Let’s take a look at the Google Pixel 6a price, specifications and other details.
Google Pixel 6a unboxing video live ahead of sale date
The Google Pixel 6a will officially go on sale on July 28th. Almost a couple of months before the sale, the Pixel 6a was unboxed. A video on TikTok shows a Pixel 6a charcoal variant retail box . The box includes a Pixel 6a (obviously), a USB Type-C charging cable, and a charging adapter. Notably, the charging adapter has a huge Google Tensor logo on it to highlight the custom-designed chip that powers the device.
At a time when companies are removing chargers from even the retail boxes of affordable devices, Google gets an extra point for adding one to the box. More premium models don’t get the same treatment, and users will have to buy a charging adapter separately.
We already know the price and specifications of the Pixel 6a. It was launched in the US for $449.
For the price, users get a 6.1-inch Full HD+ OLED display. There is standard support for a refresh rate of 60 Hz and an aspect ratio of 20:9. The phone has a cutout at the top center of the display.
The Pixel 6a runs Android 12 out of the box. It is powered by the Tensor chip and has 6GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage. The phone has a 4306 mAh battery. It also supports 18W fast charging out of the box.
Pixel 6a has a dual camera. It comes with a 12MP main camera and a 12MP ultra-wide camera. The phone has an 8MP front camera.
