Asus ROG Phone 5S, ROG Phone 5S Pro with Snapdragon 888+ and 144Hz Display Launched: Check Price, Specs

Asus has updated its line of gaming smartphones with the release of the ROG Phone 5S series. The company has launched two premium smartphones that offer top-tier hardware. The ROG Phone 5S series was launched in Europe and other markets late last year.

The devices come with a Snapdragon 888+ SoC under the hood. They also support a smooth display with a refresh rate of 144Hz. Asus’ latest gaming smartphones also support a range of gaming smartphone accessories that enhance your gaming experience. Asus ROG Phone 5S series price

Starting with ROG Phone 5S, the device comes with two storage options. The 8GB + 128GB storage option is $665, while the 12GB + 256GB storage option is $771.

ROG Phone 5S Pro comes with 18GB + 512GB for $1064. Both devices are available in black and white and will go on sale from February 18 on Flipkart.

Specifications and features

Both flagship ROG smartphones have many features in common. They have a 6.78-inch AMOLED – E4 display with Full HD + resolution. The display supports 144Hz refresh rate and 300Hz touch sampling rate. The screen is HDR10+ certified and has a claimed 24ms touch lag.

Asus also uses Corning’s Gorilla Glass Victus on the ROG Phone 5s series for extra screen protection. The Pro model also features a ROG Vision color display on the back and RGB lighting inside the logo for a playful phone look.

The phones use the Snapdragon 888+ processor and the Adreno 660 GPU. They pack a 6000mAh battery with support for 65W fast charging. Gaming smartphones also feature two AirTrigger ultrasonic sensors and dual capacitive triggers on the back. Asus will pack its AeroActive Cooler accessory with two physical trigger buttons in the retail box of the Pro model.

Smartphones have two USB Type-C ports – one on the side and one on the bottom edge. In terms of optics, the phones are equipped with a 24 MP front camera sensor. They come with a triple camera on the back. There is a 64-megapixel Sony IMX686 sensor, a 13-megapixel ultra-wide-angle camera, and a 5-megapixel macro camera.
