Google is announcing its I/O 2022 event on May 11 and 12.
Without pretending that the Covid-19 pandemic is behind us, we must admit that the situation is much better than it was a few months ago. In particular, it allows companies to return their employees to the offices, and some again organize physical events. This is the case for the highly anticipated Google I/O 2022.
Google announces I/O 2022 event
In recent years, there have been countless companies that have chosen to cancel their press events, or otherwise only offer a virtual version. This is because of the Covid-19 pandemic, which has made organizing such gatherings difficult and risky. The Mountain View Firm now seems to be restoring a certain level of normalcy, so to speak.
The American giant is indeed in good shape to announce this year’s I/O event. This will take place on 11 and 12 May 2022. In this case, everything will not be the same as in previous releases, since there will be no crowd. Google has indeed made the decision to limit the number of people present.
See you May 11th and 12th.
However, only Google employees or partners can participate. Luckily, Mountain View will also offer a live stream of the event. Thus, everyone will be able to take advantage of this and discover various ads without leaving their home or office.
As for what this Google I/O 2022 event has in store for us, that’s a completely different story. We will most likely learn more about Android 13, the next major release of Google’s Android mobile operating system, and possibly other software developments. There have also been a few rumors about the possible announcement of the Pixel Watch and possibly the Pixel 6a, but both of those launches have reportedly been delayed. So the software can only be for this edition of 2022. A little more patience.
