PC games from Microsoft and Activision Blizzard will be available to EE customers via Xbox Cloud Gaming.
If UK carrier EE has been allowing its customers to get an Xbox Game Pass Ultimate subscription by paying for an add-on on their contract for nearly three years, they will soon be able to get their hands on Xbox Cloud Gaming to be able to play a variety of streaming PC games from Microsoft and Activision Blizzard from their smartphones.
Microsoft and @EE are expanding our 10-year cloud gaming partnership to offer PC games built by post-acquisition Activision Blizzard and Xbox to @EE customers. We strive to bring more games to more people, no matter what game they play.

Mark Allera, managing director of British Telecom’s consumer business (BT, EE and Plusnet), said:
We’re excited to partner with Microsoft to expand our gaming partnership to include a new 10-year cloud gaming contract to bring PC gaming powered by Xbox Games Studios and Activision Blizzard to our customers. We share Microsoft’s commitment to bringing more games to more gamers. All of this is part of our ambition to be the number one destination for gamers and the most personal, customer-focused brand in the UK. We provide an unrivaled gaming network by offering the best 5G connectivity and fiber with the best partners, products and high-quality services.
EE, Microsoft’s new card to appease antitrust authorities
This “new”decade-long partnership is in line with those Microsoft has already entered into with Ubitus, Boosteroid, Nvidia and Nintendo. The Competition and Markets Authority (CMA) said last month that it believes the planned merger between Microsoft and Activision Blizzard will not hurt the console market, but its preliminary thoughts on the cloud gaming market have yet to be reformed.
