Microsoft Surface Pro X with 13-inch PixelSense display: price, specs, features

Microsoft today launched the Surface Pro X with Wi-Fi. This is an update for the 2020 Surface Pro X and it runs Windows 11 out of the box and is the thinnest and most affordable 13-inch Surface device right now, according to Microsoft.

Surface Pro X price and availability

The new Surface Pro X starts at $1,270 for a model with an SQ1 processor, 8GB of RAM, and 128GB of storage. Same business model, $1276. However, there are other options. Their prices are shown in the table below. The new Surface Pro X will be available for purchase through authorized resellers, Reliance Digital stores, and the Reliance Digital online store. Specifications and features

The Surface Pro X was announced back in September 2021. It appeared with the ability to connect to Wi-Fi. As mentioned earlier, it runs on Windows 11 out of the box with 64-bit emulation built in. It features a 13-inch PixelSense touch display with a resolution of 2880×1920 pixels. It is powered by an octa-core SQ1 or SQ2 processor developed by Microsoft in collaboration with Qualcomm. The Surface Pro X can have up to 16GB of LPDDR4x RAM and 512GB of SSD storage. However, the base variant has 8GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage.

Surface Pro X is built for professionals with ARM-optimized apps like Microsoft Teams, Office, Adobe Photoshop, and Lightroom. It is equipped with a 5-megapixel front camera capable of recording video in Full HD resolution. Microsoft has added some AI-based features to the Surface Pro X, which uses a built-in neural engine and its eye contact feature helps users adjust their gaze during video calls.

There are two long-range studio microphones and stereo speakers with Dolby Audio. There are important I/O options, including two USB-C ports and a dedicated magnetic Surflink with optional USB-A. Microsoft has said it can provide up to 15 hours of battery life on a single charge.
