PUBG Battlegrounds Update 16.2 Goes Live With New Tactics and Survivor Pass

Recently, PUBG has undergone huge changes, including becoming a free-to-play game. Soon after, the corporation released patch 16.1, which included weapon balance modifications, UI/UX tweaks, and more.

The developers of PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds, PUBG for short, have detailed patch 16.2. The latest update contains new tactical equipment, a spotter scope and more. Let’s take a closer look at PUBG Patch Notes 16.2 and all the new changes it brings.

New tactical kit, spotter scope, aiming/sound lab

Update 16.2 kicks off with new tactical gear, the Tactical Pack. Now with this Super Backpack, players can store almost any item and come up with all sorts of wacky playstyles; Gamers can now carry two additional sets of vests and helmets for emergencies, as well as four mountain bikes.

The Tactical Pack takes up your main weapon slot, has four attachment slots, appears on every map, and will be available in Casual Matches, Custom Games, Training Mode, and Sandbox Mode (PC only).

The Spotter Scope was added to this mix. This is a unique pair of binoculars that can be used for tracking and marking enemies and hostile drones, as well as for non-verbal communication with the squad. The magnification of the Spotter Scope will be fixed at 4x magnification.

The developers have changed the color of the lights used by the Drones. Green lights are now displayed on deployed allied drones, and red lights are now displayed on deployed enemy drones.

The next Survivor Pass has also arrived: Punk Wave. Maximum in-game time to earn Pass XP per day: 6-8 hours, maximum Pass XP that can be earned per day: 7200 – 9600 Pass XP.

A private aiming/sound lab has been added to practice mode, allowing you to better practice shooting and sound play. At the Aim/Sound Lab and on the ranges, gamers can now practice on the newly added human and vehicle shaped targets. The basic structure of the training mode has been changed to match the additional features and practice areas included in this release.

Sanhok has been replaced with Haven in this patch’s regular match rotation, and several terrain updates have been made to balance out the combat experience in Karakin. Interested players can check out the full changelog on the official website.
