Realme 9 Pro Plus will feature a heart rate sensor, company VP reveals

Realme is expected to launch the Realme 9 Pro series globally sometime this month, and the date is rumored to be February 15th. The series will include two phones – Realme 9 Pro and Pro Plus. Realme has been slowly teasing the features of the upcoming 9 Pro series. The phone was also seen in the hands of Indian cricketer K.L. Rahul, who confirmed his design.

In a recent update, Realme VP Madhav Sheth announced that the Realme 9 Pro Plus will have a built-in heart rate sensor. Sheth took to Twitter, confirming a few details about the feature. Let’s see how the heart rate sensor will work on Realme 9 Pro Plus.

Realme 9 Pro Plus confirmed to have a heart rate sensor

The video shared by the company’s VP shows that consumers will be able to measure heart rate on the Realme 9 Pro Plus by placing their fingers on the in-display fingerprint sensor. As soon as the heart rate is recorded, the device will ask about the user’s activity during the measurement. Users will be able to save the heart rate measurement and check it again through the history section.

Realme 9 Pro Plus: specifications and price

The Realme 9 Pro+ is expected to feature a 6.43-inch AMOLED display with Full HD+ resolution and 90Hz refresh rate support. It will come with a 16MP front camera sensor hole display.

Several previous leaks have confirmed that the Pro Plus model will feature a 50-megapixel main camera sensor with OIS support. The camera setup will also include an 8MP ultra-wide camera and a 2MP macro sensor.

The 9 Pro+ is confirmed to be equipped with MediaTek Dimensity 920 SoC. It is also reported to be equipped with a 4500mAh battery with support for 65W fast charging. The device will run Realme UI 3.0 on top of Android 12 out of the box.

The Realme 9 Pro Plus is expected to come with two storage options, 6GB + 128GB priced at $280 and 8GB + 128GB which is not yet priced, but we can expect the device to be priced at $310 or $320.
