The Redmi Note 11 series was launched at the end of October in China, and Redmi’s next-generation budget phones are expected to arrive under a different name. Redmi Note 11 is expected to launch as Redmi Note 11T 5G, Redmi Note 11 Pro will launch as Xiaomi 11i, and Redmi Note 11 Pro Plus will launch as Xiaomi 11i HyperCharge. According to a new report, the Redmi Note 11 series will launch globally in the first quarter of 2022, which means that the launch in India could happen around March, just like the Redmi Note 10 series.
According to Thepixel report, the Redmi Note 11 series will hit the Vietnam market in the first quarter of 2022. Interestingly, the report states that the Note 11 series will have a different design and specifications for the Vietnam market. Specifically, the devices are expected to feature Snapdragon chipsets instead of the MediaTek Dimensity series SoC. However, it is still unclear whether the Snapdragon chipset will be exclusive to the Vietnam market.
According to previous leaks, apart from the name change, the specs of the Redmi Note 11 series were supposed to be the same as the Chinese variant for India. It will be interesting to see how Xiaomi India plays with phone names this time around. Recently, Poco M4 Pro 5G was launched globally as the rebadged Redmi Note 11 5G.
Redmi Note 11 is powered by MediaTek Dimensity 810 SoC, while Redmi Note 11 Pro and 11 Pro Plus are powered by MediaTek Dimensity 920 chipset. Redmi Note 11 Pro Plus offers 120W fast charging and also packs a 108MP camera. The Redmi Note 11 Pro, on the other hand, supports 67W fast charging and a 108MP main camera setup.
