With Journeys, Google makes it easy to search your Chrome history

Google Chrome has a tool designed to search through history. Journeys makes it easy to find previously searched content.

If you’re doing research for a book you’re writing, a major essay, or a report, chances are you’ll have to navigate from one source to another, and often many. Search history navigation is a way to continue if you want to get your hands on content discovered days or weeks ago. But not necessarily the most efficient. However, browsers have come a long way in this aspect. Google Chrome will go even further.

Google Chrome is getting a tool dedicated to history search

Indeed, if you’re a Chrome user, be aware that Mountain View recently announced a new feature for its browser called Journeys, which is aimed specifically at making it easier to navigate through past searches and all the sites you may have visited.

Google already manages your browsing history quite well, especially your past searches, but Journeys goes even further. For example, if you have recently searched for the term “cryptocurrency”and have visited several sites related to this topic, using the Travel tool will allow you to search for this term and display all the pages related to this topic that you may have already visited.

The tool can also show you the sites you’ve spent the most time on, which can be an additional indicator of the relevancy of a particular site, and can even make specific suggestions based on your search. This is a really useful tool compared to just searching your browsing history, especially if you can’t remember exactly when you searched or what sites you found certain content on.

This feature is being rolled out to users. If you haven’t seen it yet, be patient. If you have access to it, feel free to give it a try.
