Who are Wario and Waluigi?
No, Wario and Waluigi are not bootleg characters but are actually a part of the Mario universe. Starting with Wario he is supposed to be the rival of Mario. He is a short, obese, and greedy character whose appearance is quite similar to Mario. With a Yellow T-shirt, Purple Overalls, and a Yellow Cap with W as opposed to Mario’s M. He first appeared in Super Mario Land 2: 6 Golden Coins, but later got his own games with the Wario Land and Wario Ware series.
As for Waluigi, he first appeared in Mario Tennis for the N64. Just like Wario to Mario, Waluigi is the rival of Luigi. He was introduced as Wario’s partner.
